S. O. Jeffcoat

S. O. Jeffcoat, PhD, currently serves as the Interim Arts Education Director at the South Carolina Civil Rights Museum, where responsibilities include developing educational resources for K-12 and conducting professional development for educators. As a Professor at the University at Albany, SUNY, research focuses on visualization, information communication, and engagement, addressing real-world data communication challenges. Previous roles include Digital Engagement Consultant for Edible Data Visuals LLC, Marketing Director at Inform Your Community, and Public Art Consultant for both the Royal African Company and One Columbia for Arts and History. S. O. Jeffcoat's educational background includes a BS in Art/Biology from the College of Charleston, a Master’s degree in Brand Management from Savannah College of Art and Design, and a PhD in Computer and Information Sciences from the University at Albany.
