Gabriela Hernandez

Gabriela Hernandez is a Medical Laboratory Technician at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine since August 2021, responsible for processing specimens for the Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study and assisting with venipuncture collections. Previously, Gabriela served as a Medical Assistant at ODA Primary Health Care Network, focusing on patient vital signs and education, and worked as an Academic Tutor and College Assistant at The City College of New York, mentoring students in biochemistry and languages. Gabriela also contributed as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Center for Discovery and Innovation, studying the song system of chaffinches. Additional experience includes roles as an Assistant Counselor and participation in a fellowship with America Needs You. Gabriela holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The City College of New York and completed a study abroad program focused on physical therapy at Universidad Veritas.
