Dunn Elizabeth is an experienced academic leader currently serving as the Founding Dean of the School of Liberal Arts at SUNY Oneonta since August 2018. In this role, Dunn collaborates with departments across fine and performing arts, humanities, and social sciences. Previously, Dunn held the position of Dean at SUNY Oneonta and served as Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Indiana University South Bend from July 2010 to January 2018, overseeing a large faculty and managing various academic responsibilities. Dunn’s earlier experience includes serving as Interim Dean and Professor of History at Bemidji State University from August 1999 to June 2010, where leadership focused on developing a strong identity for the College of Arts and Sciences. Dunn holds a Ph.D. in American Intellectual History from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Purdue University in American Studies and American History.
