Mark Pfeifer

Lecturer, School Of Social And Behavioral Sciences at SUNY Poly SEMATECH

Mark Pfeifer currently serves as the Director of Programs and Development, as well as the Librarian at the Hmong Cultural Center in Saint Paul, MN, where efforts have been focused on building a nationally-recognized library of Hmong-related literature. Mark has been an adjunct professor at Empire State College and SUNY Poly SEMATECH since 2013 and 2010, respectively, teaching a variety of sociology and anthropology courses. Additionally, Mark is the editor of the Hmong Studies Journal, has reviewed books for CHOICE since 2007, and has served as a peer reviewer for multiple academic journals and grant proposals. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Urban Social Geography from the University of Toronto and two master’s degrees in Library Science and Urban Studies/Affairs.
