Prior to their master's degree, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Finnish Literature, Finnish Language, Cultural History, and Education from the University of Turku in 2013. In 2009, they attended Orivesi College of Arts, where they studied Creative Writing. In 2008, they completed their Matriculation Examination in Media and Arts from Juhana Herttuan lukio.
Emilia Rantanen also holds additional certifications. In 2011, they obtained the Hygiene Passport from Elintarviketurvallisuusvirasto Evira. In 2020, they acquired the Google Analytics for Beginners certification from Google and the Inbound Marketing certification from HubSpot Academy. In 2016, they obtained the Inbound Certification from HubSpot.
