Kati Turkama

Kati Turkama is a seasoned language expert with extensive experience at Suomen tulli – Finnish Customs, where Kati has served as a Senior Language Expert since September 2013, focusing on administrative language clarity and customer-oriented communication. Previously, Kati held roles as a Translation Coordinator and Translator within Finnish Customs, managing translation assignments and terminology work while translating customs-related texts among Finnish, English, and Swedish. Kati's academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in English Language and Translation from the University of Eastern Finland and a Master's degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from Joensuun yliopisto, along with education at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Helsinki.
