Pablo Varela's work experience begins in 2001 when they worked as an Analyst/Developer for Xunta de Galicia, where they were involved in software design and development projects related to the Air Quality Galician Network. Pablo utilized J2EE technologies and SQLServer databases. Pablo then transitioned to the role of Researcher at the University of A Coruña, where they worked on an E-learning framework prototype utilizing Erlang and functional programming.
In 2005, Pablo joined Telefonica as an Analyst/Developer, where they worked until 2007. After that, they joined Glu Mobile as a Software Engineer. Their responsibilities included developing content delivery and multiplayer platforms, creating and deploying new delivery channels, and developing internal tools.
From 2008 to 2012, Pablo worked at Playfish in various roles, including Director of Architecture, Head of Platform, Senior Server Side Developer, and Server Side Developer. At Playfish, they held key responsibilities in architecture, platform development, and server-side development.
In 2012, they joined Plumbee as a Software Engineer, and then in 2016, they moved to Hive, a British Gas Innovation, as a Site Reliability Engineer. At Centrica, where they started working in 2019, they also held the position of Site Reliability Engineer.
Most recently, in 2021, Pablo Varela joined Super Evil Megacorp as the Principal Platform Engineer.
Pablo Varela attended Universidade da Coruña from 1996 to 2005, where they pursued a degree in Software Engineering. The specific field of study during their time at the university is not provided.
