Lead UI Artist at Super Evil Megacorp

Samuel Thompson has a diverse work experience in the field of art and design. Samuel started their career at the Institute for Creative Technologies in 2007, where they worked as a Texture/3D Artist, creating 3D assets for a U.S. Military simulator. Samuel then went on to work as a Concept/Texture/3D Artist at Dream Machine Studio and as a Concept Artist at Amalgamated Dynamics in 2008.

In 2010, Samuel joined Brandeis University as a 3D Animation TA while they were a student. Samuel later moved to Otis College of Art and Design, where they worked as a Life Drawing TA until 2009.

Samuel's career in the gaming industry began in 2011 when they joined Riot Games as a Concept Artist. Samuel remained in this role until 2016. During this time, they also freelanced as a Concept Artist, providing their services to various clients.

From 2019 to 2020, Samuel worked as an Art Director at Windwalk Games on a freelance basis. Samuel then joined Super Evil Megacorp in 2020 and took on roles of increasing responsibility, starting as a UI Artist and eventually becoming a Senior UI Artist. Currently, they hold the position of Lead UI Artist at Super Evil Megacorp, where they oversee the concepting, development, and implementation of game UI systems across multiple disciplines and projects.

Samuel Thompson pursued their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Digital Media from Otis College of Art and Design from 2004 to 2008. Following this, they went on to complete their Master of Arts degree in Computer Science from Brandeis University, where they attended from 2009 to 2011.
