Matti Kemppainen has a diverse work experience in the gaming and design industry. Matti started their career as a Game Artist at Activeark Oy in 2007, where they worked as a design intern and created illustrations and designs for TV1000 and Unibet. Matti then interned at Free Lunch Design in Gothenburg, Sweden, as a Game Artist, where they contributed to the production of over 70 games for various platforms. In 2008, Kemppainen joined Peoples, an advertising agency, as a Designer, mainly working with print. Later that year, they worked at Everyplay, a small social game developer and publisher, as the sole artist, tackling various artistic responsibilities. Kemppainen continued their career in the gaming industry at Rovio Entertainment Ltd. in 2010, where they played a role in the creation of the globally successful Angry Birds franchise. From 2011 to 2012, they worked at The International Cultural Center Caisa as a Designer, handling print and web design tasks for events such as the Chinese New Year in Helsinki and the Manuel Estrada exhibition. Since 2012, Kemppainen has been employed at Supercell Corp as a Game Artist, utilizing their extensive experience in professional game development across a variety of platforms.
Matti Kemppainen attended Hyper Island from 2006 to 2008, where they studied Digital Media. Before that, they went to Töölö Gymnasium, although the duration and field of study are unspecified.
