James Pichardo

James Pichardo is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong background in information security and leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the Superintendencia de Bancos de la República Dominicana, James previously held key positions such as Executive Director at the Centro Nacional de Ciberseguridad República Dominicana and Director of Information Security at Banco de Reservas. Additionally, James founded the Fundación DO-CSIRT to support national cybersecurity efforts and worked as an independent consultant, providing expertise in network security and incident response. With roots in academic roles, including university professor in Information Security, and a solid educational foundation in Electronics and Communications Engineering and E-Commerce, James combines technical proficiency with a commitment to enhancing cybersecurity infrastructure and awareness in the Dominican Republic.
