Sara Sheikholislam

Sara Sheikholislam serves as the Deputy Director of Internal Audits at the California State Lottery since April 2021. Prior to this role, Sara held the position of Internal Audit Chief at the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration from October 2016 to April 2021. Sara's extensive experience in internal auditing began at the California Franchise Tax Board, where Sara worked from February 2000 to October 2016, advancing through roles including Internal Audit Manager, Supervisor-collections, and Internal Auditor. Sara obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Davis, between 1990 and 1994.
