Hyder Saleh

Hyder Saleh is currently an advisor at Supermarket Income Reit. Prior to that, they were a senior associate at Canary Wharf Group plc from July 2019 to March 2021. Before that, they were a senior associate at Vantage Infrastructure from April 2018 to June 2019.

Saleh started their career as an investment analyst at John Laing in October 2012. There, they were responsible for investment performance and portfolio management for a portfolio of PPP/infrastructure investments, focusing on both the commercial and financial aspects of portfolio management. Hyder also led quarterly portfolio valuations for a listed secondary market fund on an advisory basis, in addition to performing quarterly pension fund valuations and bi-annual in-house portfolio valuations.

In April 2014, Saleh moved to Hastings Funds Management as an associate, infrastructure debt. There, they were responsible for managing ongoing viability studies for £200m project refinancings and providing advice to project directors. Hyder was also heavily involved in sell side M&A activities, selling to the secondary market. This included due diligence exercises such as model and contractual review and coordinating with individual project management teams to identify value enhancements.

In January 2018, Saleh returned to Hastings Funds Management as a senior associate. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing model updates for submission to lenders and reviewing operational model builds. Hyder also led valuation training sessions attended by colleagues across the business, such as project directors and finance managers.

Saleh has completed a number of external financial courses, including a financial modeling course, and is a certified financial analyst.

Hyder Saleh studied law at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and then worked as a ratings analyst for Fitch Ratings.
