Dawn Hustig-Schultz, PhD, is a Senior Autonomy Research Engineer at Supernal, with a strong background in computer engineering and robotics. With extensive research experience as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Dawn developed optimization algorithms applicable in autonomous systems and authored five papers presented at major international conferences. Previously, Dawn completed an internship at the Air Force Research Laboratory, where a hybrid algorithm for optimal control was developed and verified in simulations. Dawn also served as a Graduate Student Instructor and Teaching Assistant, managing lab content and instructing students in programming and robotics.
