Christian Kjaer

Chief Public Affairs Officer at SuperNode

Christian Kjaer has a diverse and extensive work experience in the renewable energy sector. Christian is currently serving as the Chief Public Affairs Officer at SuperNode Ltd since January 2021. In addition, they hold the position of Chairman at currENT Europe since January 2023 and Vice Chair from April 2021 to December 2022.

Before joining SuperNode Ltd, Christian worked at Nordic Energy Research as a Senior Advisor from April 2019 to January 2021. Prior to that, they served as the CEO of Wind Denmark from August 2016 to May 2019. Christian has also held significant roles at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), where they worked as the Head of Unit from January 2015 to June 2016.

Christian'swork experience also includes founding and owning Faraday Consult s.p.r.l. from July 2013 to January 2015. Christian has also been actively involved in WindEurope, where they served as the Chief Executive Officer from April 2006 to April 2013 and as the Policy Director from January 2003 to April 2006. Moreover, they have served as a member of the Board of Directors at both the Global Wind Energy Council and the European Renewable Energy Council from April 2006 to April 2013.

Christian began their career in the renewable energy sector as a Policy Advisor at Wind Denmark, where they worked from September 1998 to December 2002. Throughout their career, they have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the energy industry, particularly in the field of wind energy.

Christian Kjaer completed a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from Copenhagen Business School from 1991 to 1994. Christian then pursued a Master of Science degree in International Business from the same institution from 1994 to 1996. In addition, during the same period from 1995 to 1996, they attended Brandeis International Business School, focusing on International Finance and Economics.
