Michael Virks

Michael Virks has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Michael currently holds the position of Head of Information Technology at SuperNova Capital, a role they have been in since 2023. Prior to this, they were the Founder and Managing Director of Fireowl Limited / Fireowl OÜ from 2015 onwards. From 2020 to 2023, Michael served as the Chief Operating Officer at BDT Camcast GmbH. Before that, they worked as the Operations Director at YouthSight for eight years, from 2012 to 2020. Michael has also held positions such as DP & IT Manager at Opinionpanel Research, Data Processing Manager at ESA Market Research Ltd, and Senior CAPI Programmer at GfK NOP. Michael started their career at TNS as a Data Processing Executive and later became a CAWI Developer.

Michael Virks attended Lauenburgische Gelehrtenschule Ratzeburg from 1985 to 1994, where they obtained their Abitur / A-Levels. Michael then studied English Literature (British and Commonwealth) at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München from 1995 to 1996. Finally, they pursued Social Research & Statistics at London Metropolitan University from 1996 to 1999.
