Tara Mooney

Tara Mooney began their work experience in 2013 as a Research Intern at Trinity College Dublin, where they organized a Summer Camp to introduce female secondary school students to engineering. Tara also conducted research on using design activities as an outreach method for female students and submitted a paper on this topic to the International Manufacturing Conference.

In 2015, Tara joined Sadra Medical as an Engineering Grad, where they were responsible for equipment remediation activities and Nitinol Qualification. Tara conducted metallography analysis, developed heat treatment parameters, and performed cyclic testing on Instron. Tara also explored alternative material vendors using surface roughness analysis and SEM analysis.

Within Sadra Medical, Tara progressed to the role of Manufacturing Engineer 1 in 2016, where they implemented long-term fatigue testing and remediated first article and incoming inspection procedures to comply with BSC standards. Tara addressed material issues through NCEP and conducted engineering analysis using methods such as RBT, SEM, and metallography.

In 2017, Tara was promoted to Manufacturing Engineer 2 at Sadra Medical. In this role, they owned the process development of a new component design and collaborated with vendors and cross-site teams to ensure final assembly functionality. Tara also utilized statistical tools as part of validation remediation.

From 2019 to 2021, Tara held the position of Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Sadra Medical. Tara managed an engineering team responsible for process development work on critical delivery system components. Tara ensured sustained manufacture of components even during the fluctuating demand caused by the COVID pandemic. Tara was also responsible for training and transitioning new team members.
