Ahmed Elmahdy

Ahmed ElMahdy is a co-founder at Suplyd since January 2022, previously serving as Head of Supply at Swvl for a brief tenure in late 2021. Prior to these roles, Ahmed held several positions at Henkel from May 2017 to October 2021, including Head of Purchasing for direct materials and contract manufacturing, as well as purchasing manager roles focused on raw materials. Ahmed's experience also includes roles at Unilever from August 2013 to April 2017 as Markets Procurement Manager and Cluster Procurement Assistant Manager, specializing in packaging materials. Earlier in their career, Ahmed worked as a Material Planner at FRESH ELECTRIC FOR HOME APPLIANCES from October 2012 to August 2013. Ahmed ElMahdy earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics Engineering from The German University in Cairo between 2006 and 2011, and completed earlier education at BBC International School from 1993 to 2006.
