Noppol Setobol

Noppol Setobol has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Noppol started their career at Best Buy as a Best Buy Geek Squad member from August 2006 to March 2008. Noppol then joined IBM as a Lab Specialist for Websphere Business Integration, where they provided support to the PoC sales team and maintained systems for the WBI development team. Noppol worked as a System Administrator for 40+ machines and configured Virtual Machines for development. From July 2010 to August 2012, Noppol was a DB2 Software Engineer at IBM, specializing in DB2 migration and providing end-to-end migration support for custom applications. Noppol then became a DB2 PureData Technical Specialist, focusing on Big Data systems, from August 2012 to July 2014. As a BigInsights Technical Sales Specialist from July 2014 to June 2016, they worked closely with the Big Data sales team, analyzing customer requirements and providing consultative selling skills for IBM's Hadoop offering.

Noppol's next role was at Alpine Data as a Senior Support Engineer, where they assisted customers using Alpine Chorus. Noppol configured Alpine Chorus to work with customers' existing Hadoop and database environments and troubleshooted Ruby and Java applications. Noppol then transitioned to the role of Labs Architect, handling customer engagements and enablements for the Alpine product. In this role, they conducted customer environment discovery, PoC architectural sizing of Hadoop clusters, and provided knowledge transfer, installation, configuration, and support for the Alpine product. Noppol also assisted QA and Engineering with adopting new technologies and products for Alpinedata, validating new features on products through QA projects.

Later, Noppol joined TIBCO as a Senior Support Engineer for TIBCO Spotfire Data Science from November 2017 to April 2020. Despite the title change due to TIBCO's acquisition of Alpine, their role remained essentially the same, involving more than just support responsibilities. Finally, Noppol is currently working at SupportLogic as a Solutions Architect, where they started in April 2020 and was promoted to the position of Senior Solutions Architect in August 2022.

Noppol Setobol began their education at Contra Costa College from 2002 to 2005, where they studied Computer Engineering. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering at San Francisco State University from 2004 to 2009.
