Angela Maria Tafur Dominguez

Lawyer with an emphasis in socio-economics from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá D.C. Master’s degree in International Comparative Law from Cornell University Ithaca, New York.

She has served as President and Executive Director of Give To Colombia, Inc., as Founding Partner of Tafur, Domínguez y Arana, Vice President of Legal Affairs Bancol y Cía, Legal Advisor to the Superintendent of Securities (today the Financial Superintendence of Colombia), Legal Advisor of Corporación Financiera del Valle, Lawyer of the Legal Department of the Banking Superintendence (today the Financial Superintendence of Colombia), Advisor of Banco de Colombia S.A., Research Assistant of Esguerra, Barrera y Gamba, Research Assistant of Posse y Cía.

She participated in the boards of directors of Banco GNB Sudameris, Panama, Banco de Colombia S.A. (1989 – 1997), Litoformas de Colombia (1989 – 1996), Inmobiliaria Bancol (1989 – 1996) and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Give To Colombia (since 2003).
