Jim Helsby

Jim Helsby has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Jim currently works as an Operations Manager at Surepoint Group since November 2021. Before that, they served as a Fleet Operations Manager at Ironline Compression Ltd. from July 2013 to December 2021. In this role, they were responsible for planning preventative maintenance, optimizing equipment performance and safety, and ensuring customer satisfaction and employee retention.

Prior to Ironline Compression Ltd., Jim worked at Exterran as a Service Manager from September 2011 to June 2013. Their duties included manpower scheduling, cash flow management, and revenue profit and loss management. Jim also served as a Service Coordinator/Writer at Exterran from August 2007 to August 2011, where they planned workloads, communicated with customers, and conducted budget planning.

Before Exterran, Jim worked at Universal Compression as a Fleet Service Coordinator from February 2005 to August 2007. Their responsibilities included manpower scheduling, preventative maintenance planning, procurement of materials, and job cost reviews.

Jim began their career at Collicutt Energy Services as a Field/Shop Service Technician from February 1999 to February 2005. In this role, they were involved in maintenance, troubleshooting, and major repair of various types of natural gas compression equipment.

Jim Helsby attended NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) from 1996 to 2003. Jim pursued a degree in Industrial Mechanics and Maintenance Technology and ultimately obtained a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician "Red Seal" certification.
