Paula Merns

Paula Merns has diverse work experience in the field of data engineering, programming, and IT support. Paula'smost recent role is as a Senior Data Engineer at Surescripts, starting in May 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an Instructor at Dunwoody College of Technology from August 2014 to May 2020, where they also served as an IT Programmer/Database Developer from June 2013 to August 2014.

Paula also has experience as a Guest of Honor Co-Head at CONvergence from 2013 to August 2019. Paula worked as a Database Developer at Merkle from August 2011 to June 2013. Additionally, they served as an Analyst in the MN Army National Guard from June 2009 to June 2012.

In 2009, Paula pursued International Relations and Conflict Resolution at the American Public University System, completing their studies in 2010. From 2014 to 2016, they pursued a Master's degree in Data Science at the University of St. Thomas. Additionally, Paula had some experience studying Japanese Language and Culture at Minnesota State University - Akita, Japan, but did not obtain a degree from that institution.
