Jamie Loberman

Jamie Loberman is the SVP of Product & Technology at Surf Air, a position they have held since February 2020. Prior to that, they were the Co-Founder & CTO of BlackBird, which was acquired by Surf Air in 2020. Jamie has also been a Senior Lead Engineer & Technical Instructor at OK GROW!, a Board Member at Food Runners, and the Founder & CTO of Waited.

Jamie has always been passionate about technology and its potential to make a positive impact on the world. This led their to found Waited, a company that created an app to help people find and book restaurant reservations. While at Waited, Jamie built the technology products, including pricing algorithms, consumer iOS/Android apps, operator web dashboards, payments flows, and interaction data visualization tools. Jamie also architected the technology infrastructure to provide the correct balance of speed and scale in both development and hiring.

In 2015, Jamie left Waited to join OK GROW! as a Senior Lead Engineer & Technical Instructor. In this role, they were responsible for teaching classes on various programming languages and technologies. Jamie also worked with OK GROW!'s clients to help them build their own products.

In January 2015, Jamie became a Board Member at Food Runners, a position they held for five years. Food Runners is a non-profit organization that collects surplus food from restaurants and distributes it to people in need. As a Board Member, Jamie was responsible for overseeing the technology, operations, and volunteer software for the organization.

In April 2016, Jamie co-founded BlackBird with two other partners. BlackBird is a company that provides on-demand private air travel. The company raised $12M+ in VC funding and was acquired by Surf Air in 2020.

Jamie Loberman received a Bachelor of Science Honors in Computer Science + Business (eCommerce) from Brunel University London.
