Xavier Roussel has a diverse work experience in various industries. Xavier started their career at Nestlé in 1996, where they held multiple roles including Industrial Performance Manager, Supply Chain Director, Ingredients Purchasing Director, and European Purchasing Director. Xavier then joined Akiolis Group, a member of Tessenderlo Group, where they served as the Marketing & Sales Director and later as the COO of the Ingredients division. In 2015, Xavier became the Managing Director for EMEA, Asia & Pacific at Kemin Industries. Xavier is currently working as the CEO of SurfactGreen since 2017.
Xavier Roussel began their education in 1990 at ESA, L'Ecole supérieure des agricultures, where they pursued a field of study in Agricultural Business and Management. Xavier completed this program in 1992. Following this, from 1992 to 1993, Roussel attended ESCAIA and focused on Marketing. In 1993, they joined NEOMA Business School and achieved a Master's degree in Strategy, Marketing & Finance, completing the program in 1995. Later, in 2012, Roussel attended INSEAD and obtained an INSEAD Global Executive MBA in the following year.

Surfact'Green develops, produces and markets patented ecological surfactants from agro-resources such as algae or sugar beet co-products. A business unit of the same name was created in 2011 at the Rennes National School of Chemistry (ENSCR), based on the Organic and Supramolecular Chemistry team (UMR Sciences Chimiques de Rennes), which hasbeen working on these molecules since then. more than ten years. This business unit, supported by SATT Ouest Valorisation, has carried out works in collaboration with other public and private laboratories as well as several industrial companies interested in these surfactants.
