Thomas Nilsson

Thomas Nilsson has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as CFO/COO at Surfboard Payments, a Swedish FinTech company that focuses on developing the next-generation customer experience for in-store payments. Prior to this, they served as CEO at FCG Fonder, a leading fund management provider in the Nordics. Before that, they worked at FCG AB as a Partner and Head of Sales, where they were one of the first Partners and joined as the 8th employee. Thomas started their career as an Associate at PwC and then moved on to work as a Risk Management & Business Control professional at Ålandsbanken Sverige AB. Thomas also served as a Fraud Analyst at Nordea and worked as an eBusiness Support/Consultant at Ericsson AB. Throughout their career, Thomas has gained experience in a range of areas including financial regulation, risk management, business control, and sales.

Thomas Nilsson started their education in 2006 at Stockholm University, where they earned a Civilekonomexamen, MSc degree in Finance. In 2008, they also had the opportunity to study at Korea University as an exchange student in the School of Business, focusing on Business Administration. Thomas completed this exchange program in the same year. Later, in 2018, Thomas enrolled at the Stockholm School of Economics for an Executive MBA, which they completed in 2019.
