Elizabeth Taylor

Elizabeth Taylor is a seasoned environmental attorney and advocate with extensive experience in ocean advocacy, environmental law, and policy development. Currently serving as Of Counsel at The Surfrider Foundation, Elizabeth advises on grassroots campaigns focused on beach access and ocean protection, while lobbying for impactful legislation. Previous roles include Staff Attorney at UC Irvine School of Law, where Elizabeth contributed to interdisciplinary dialogues on environmental issues, and Environmental Attorney at Brown & Winters, providing legal counsel to public entities on sustainability initiatives. Elizabeth’s background includes teaching environmental law at the University of Evansville and recognition as a Knauss Sea Grant Fellow at NOAA. Elizabeth holds a J.D. in Environmental Law from Lewis & Clark Law School and a B.S. in Biology from UC San Diego.
