Michael Yee

Michael Yee possesses extensive experience in Joint Venture Accounting, having held positions at Surge Energy Inc., Penn West, Shell, and Canadian Natural Resources Limited. Currently serving as a Joint Venture Accountant at Surge Energy Inc. since July 2017, Michael is responsible for ensuring accurate joint interest billing, reconciling accounts, and managing delinquent companies. Previous roles include acting as a Joint Venture Accountant at Penn West, where Michael handled billing and reconciliations, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert in Joint Venture Accounting at Shell from 2008 to 2016. Michael's educational background includes multiple certificates from the Petroleum Joint Venture Association and a CAPPA certification from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, complemented by foundational education from Mount Royal University and Lord Beaverbrook High School.
