Carol Vandoorne

Carol VanDoorne currently serves as the Laboratory Manager at Surgeons Choice Medical Center since May 2022 and has been with Ascension as the Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist since June 2016, where responsibilities include overseeing the clinical laboratory and providing technical assistance to staff. Previously, Carol was a Medical Laboratory Scientist at St. John Providence after completing an NAACLS accredited internship, and also has experience as an Associate Varsity Swim Coach at Utica Community Schools and as a Hostess at Red Ox Tavern. Carol VanDoorne earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology from Oakland University, following education at Macomb Community College.
