John Ploenes

John Ploenes has over 25 years of experience in manufacturing and operations management. From 1992 to 1993, they were the Plant Manager at Longwood Operation - David M Company, where they streamlined operations to improve the business's profitability. From 1993 to 1997, they were the Operations Manager at Carlisle Companies Inc, part of a three-man green-field start up team. From 1997 to 2002, they were the Plant Manager at Day International Inc. / David M Company, where they implemented new manufacturing processes, capital projects, products, policies, and practices. From 2002 to 2007, they were the Director of Manufacturing at Day International Inc. From 2007 to 2015, they were the Director of Green House Operations at Green Circle Growers, managing four operations consisting of 120 acres under glass with over 400 employees. From 2015 to 2019, they were the Prod Mgr at Clamco and the Customer Service Architect at Surgere Inc. Since 2019, they have been the Director of Technical Compliance and Director of Technical Support at Surgere, a RFID inventory tracking solutions company with key installations at Honda, Toyota and others.

John Ploenes attended The University of Akron from 1974 to 1980, during which time they earned a BA in Biology and Chemistry in 1979. John also attended Copley, though the duration of their attendance is unknown.
