Mike Teodorescu

Mike Teodorescu has an extensive and diverse work experience. Mike'smost recent position is as an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington Information School, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they served as the CEO and Chief Operations Officer at SurgiBox Inc. from 2017 to present. Mike was also a Secretary of the Board of Directors at SurgiBox Inc. from 2017 to present.

From 2018 to 2022, Mike Teodorescu worked as an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at Boston College, where they taught Data Analytics at the MBA and undergraduate levels. Mike also served as a Member of the Board at The Summer Science Program from 2017 to 2021.

Before joining Boston College, Mike Teodorescu held positions at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they were a Research Affiliate from 2020 to 2021 and a Visiting Scholar from 2019 to 2020. Mike conducted research on Machine Learning Fairness and completed a grant report on the topic.

In 2018, Mike Teodorescu worked as the Lead Economics Investigator at MIT D-Lab, where they led a research project on the ethical use of machine learning in developing countries. Mike was involved in developing guidelines, partnerships, capacity building, and educational materials for the project.

Earlier in their career, Mike Teodorescu worked as a Research Extern at USPTO from 2016 to 2018. Mike also served as a Doctoral Candidate and Graduate Teaching Fellow at Harvard Business School from 2015 to 2018 and as a Doctoral Student from 2013 to 2015.

Additionally, Mike Teodorescu has experience as a Software Engineer at Microsoft from 2011 to 2013 and as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University, where they taught courses on visualization and computer science from 2010 to 2011.

Mike Teodorescu attended Harvard University from 2007 to 2011, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science. Mike then proceeded to pursue a Doctorate degree in Business Administration at Harvard Business School from 2013 to 2018.
