Sean Copeland

Sean Copeland has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Rehabilitation Aide at Athletico in 2019, where they provided patient care and assisted with office work. Sean then joined Surgical Theater, initially as an XR Program Lead from October 2019 to August 2021. In this role, they utilized Virtual and Augmented Reality to support surgeons with patient education, research, surgical planning, and intraoperative navigation. Sean also served as a liaison and product development lead, ensuring that client clinical needs were incorporated into product upgrades. Sean was also responsible for providing onsite support and training new employees. Afterwards, they became the Marketing Manager at Surgical Theater from August 2021 to December 2022. In this position, they collaborated with the executive team to develop and execute long-term marketing strategies for the product portfolio. Sean planned multiple trade shows and coordinated efforts with various teams to ensure successful experiences. Sean oversaw the creation of marketing content and maintained the clinical relevance of social outreach. Currently, Sean is the Director of XR Programs at Surgical Theater, a position they have held since December 2022.

Sean Copeland attended the University of Arizona from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering.
