Aleksey Safonov

Aleksey Safonov has over 13 years of experience in electrical engineering and design. Aleksey is currently employed as the Chief Electrical Engineer at Surhan Gas Chemical Operating Company since August 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as an Electrical Expert at NOVATEK from February 2020 to October 2021. From 2017 to 2020, they served as an Electrical Engineer at Yamal LNG, where they were responsible for developing and reviewing design packages for electrical systems and equipment. Before that, they worked as a Lead Electrical Designer at Drydocks World - Dubai from July 2015 to February 2017, overseeing project planning, electrical design, and collaboration with production trades. Aleksey also held positions at LUKOIL as a Senior Electrical Engineer from August 2014 to July 2015, and at Drydocks World Dubai as a Senior Electrical Designer from December 2011 to June 2014. Aleksey Safonov started their career at CDB Corall as an Electrical Design Engineer from January 2009 to December 2011, where they were involved in the preparation of electrical diagrams, arrangements, and cable schedules.

Aleksey Safonov began their education in 1994 at school #43 in Sevastopol. Aleksey completed their schooling there in 2004. After completing their secondary education, Aleksey Safonov enrolled at Sevastopol State Technical University in 2004 and graduated in 2009 with a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Aleksey Safonov has obtained several certifications. In 2023, they completed the "IEC61850 and digital substation basics" course from Udemy. In the same year, they also completed the "ETAP power system modelling & analysis" course from ETAP Automation. In 2020, Aleksey Safonov obtained the certification for "Electrical Systems: Reading Drawings and Schematics" from LinkedIn.
