Danny Townsend

Danny Townsend is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the sports and entertainment industries. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at SRJ Sports Investments since November 2023, Townsend previously held the CEO position at A-Leagues from January 2022 to February 2024 and at Sydney FC from October 2017 to May 2022. Townsend's career also includes leadership roles as Global Managing Director at Nielsen Sport and Global Chief Revenue Officer at Repucom International, where Townsend worked from 2014 to 2017. Earlier positions at Repucom included President for Europe, Middle East & Africa and President for APAC. Townsend started the professional journey as Sponsorship Manager at Australian Jockey Club Limited from 2001 to 2004. Academically, Townsend holds a Bachelor of Sports Science in International Marketing from UNSW and a Master of Business Administration from Charles Sturt University.
