Joram Slager

Joram Slager is a Senior Staff Scientist at SurModics, with experience dating back to October 2005, specializing in formulations for drug-coated balloons, including discovering excipients for efficient drug transfer and working on a below-the-knee drug-coated balloon device currently in development. Previously, Joram held a Sr. Scientist position focused on drug delivery and controlled release systems for proteins and DNA/RNA, alongside the characterization of biodegradable polymers. Prior experience includes a post-doctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medical School, concentrating on controlled drug and protein release for brain cancer treatment. Joram's educational background includes a Ph.D. in biodegradable polymers and drug delivery from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
