Rory Cartwright

Rory Cartwright is an accomplished finance professional currently serving as Head of Finance at SurrealDB since July 2024. Prior experience includes roles as FinOps Lead and FinOps Manager at RORA, where Rory focused on developing startup finance functions, and as Fund CFO Associate at DWS Group. Rory began their career as an Assistant Fund Accountant at Langham Hall, managing a portfolio exceeding £1.5 billion in private equity commitments. Additionally, Rory gained valuable experience as a Management Intern at YUSU Commercial Services Limited, overseeing commercial operations and event coordination. Rory is a member of ACCA and holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of York.
