Maggie Lai

Maggie Lai is an experienced educator with a focus on teaching various subjects including French, Math, and Chemistry in the Surrey School District since February 2016. In addition to classroom instruction, Maggie coaches badminton at multiple levels, serves as Badminton Coordinator for the Surrey School District and South Fraser Zone, sponsors student clubs, and holds the position of STA Staff Representative. Maggie's teaching career also includes roles at Willingdon Church Preschool, Brainbridge Learning Centre, North Vancouver School District, and as a tutor at Elite Prep, demonstrating versatility across different educational settings and age groups. Educational qualifications include a Professional Masters of Education in Assessment and Evaluation from Queen's University, a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education (Chemistry) from The University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the same institution. Maggie has also contributed to STEM education development as a member of the STEM Mentoring Advisory Committee at Science World British Columbia.
