Amy R. Hanson

Amy Hanson is an experienced executive with a strong background in finance and operations. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Surry Communications since September 2008, Amy manages all commercial, marketing, and accounting functions, overseeing financial budgets, reporting, and audits. Previously, as General Manager of WSS, LLC since May 2002, Amy handled legal documents and year-end audit reviews. Amy has also contributed as a volunteer at ELECTEL COOPERATIVE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION, promoting employee participation in programs. Earlier roles include Accounting Manager and Lead Customer Service Representative at Surry Communications, as well as a Financial Analyst at Ben Craig Center. Amy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Surry Community College.
