Anna Marie Dempsey is an experienced legal and investment professional with a diverse background in law and finance. Currently serving as Investment Counsel at the State Universities Retirement System since January 2021, Anna has previously held the position of Partner at Thompson & Knight LLP from September 2011 to August 2020. Anna's legal career also includes significant tenure at JONES DAY®, where roles included Partner, Of Counsel, and Associate from February 1999 to August 2011. Anna earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kansas School of Law between 1988 and 1991 and received a Bachelor of Science in Business degree, majoring in Accounting and Business Administration, from the University of Kansas from 1984 to 1988.
