Yusuf Osman Essa

Yusuf Osman Essa is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in functional consulting and internal auditing. Currently serving as the Functional Consultant Team Lead at SurTech Group of Companies since February 2019, Yusuf oversees Highbond functional consultants and plays a key role in training team members on Highbond software. Previous experience includes serving as a Risk Officer at Lion of Africa Insurance, where responsibilities encompassed implementing the ERM framework, managing risk registers, and conducting risk reviews. Prior to that, Yusuf worked at Nexia SAB&T, advancing through roles from Junior Internal Auditor to Senior Internal Auditor, where notable achievements included identifying duplicate payments through data analytics. Yusuf holds a Bcom in Internal Auditing and an honors degree from the University of Pretoria, alongside an Internal Audit Technician qualification from the Institute of Internal Auditors.
