Richard Fan

Richard Fan currently serves as an Engineer at SURVICE Engineering since August 2017, previously holding the position of Associate Engineer. Prior to joining SURVICE Engineering, Richard was a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County Energy Harvesting Lab (EDLAB) from December 2015 to May 2018, focusing on structural analysis and design optimization related to piezoelectric energy harvesters for implantable medical devices. Richard also gained experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland - A. James Clark School of Engineering from April 2012 to September 2013, where responsibilities included developing a composite mechanical bird wing model using ANSYS and designing a testing mechanism. Richard holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
