Shayla Burton

Shayla Burton has extensive experience in health coaching, administrative support, and community outreach. Currently serving as a High Risk Senior Health Coach at One Medical since March 2016, Shayla has also held roles as a Laboratory Specialist and Administrative Assistant within the same organization. In addition, Shayla has been involved with Susan G. Komen since May 2013 as an intern and volunteer, focusing on breast cancer awareness and event execution. Previous experience includes serving as an HR Assistant at Hearts & Homes for Youth, where responsibilities included supporting new hires and organizing personnel documentation. Complementing this background, Shayla worked as a server at Applebee's and as club staff at LA Fitness, demonstrating diverse skills in customer service and administrative tasks. Shayla also contributed as a historian for the National Council of Negro Women, planning community service initiatives and marketing through social media. Academic achievements include a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies and ongoing pursuit of a Master's degree in Organizational Communication at Bowie State University.
