Gabriel Krisman Bertazi

Gabriel Krisman Bertazi is an experienced kernel developer with a strong background in software engineering. Currently, Gabriel works at SUSE as a Kernel Developer since October 2022. Prior to this, Gabriel served as a Senior Software Engineer at Collabora from December 2016 to September 2022, where significant contributions included maintaining the kernel for the SteamDeck gaming console and developing features like the native Ext4 case-insensitive file name lookup mechanism. Earlier experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at IBM from January 2015 to December 2016, focusing on upstream fixes and enhancements for various device drivers on the Power architecture. Gabriel began his career as a Software Engineer Intern, contributing to networking and storage device drivers. Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, obtained in December 2015.
