Thomas Grund

Thomas Grund has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Thomas began their career as an intern at Hans Koch GmbH und Co. in 1993 and later worked as an intern at lotis enginierie in 1997. Thomas then joined Hoermann Inc. in 2003 as an intern before moving on to Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where they worked as a Ph.D. student and later as a project manager from 2006 to 2011. In 2012, Thomas joined SUSS MicroTec Lithography GmbH as an international product manager for coater systems until 2018. Thomas then held the position of deputy general manager of the Coater/Developer division from 2019 to 2020 before assuming the role of business unit manager for the same division until 2022. In 2020, Thomas became the managing director of Suss MicroTec Netherlands B.V., and in 2022, they were appointed as the head of product line coating systems at SUSS MicroTec.

Thomas Grund holds a Doctor of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) degree in Microsystems Technology from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), which they completed in 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Diplom-Ingenieur (Dipl.-Ing.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institute, which they earned from 1999 to 2005. Thomas also completed their Abitur, a qualification for university entrance in Germany, from Ferdinand-von-Steinbeis-Schule Reutlingen between 1996 and 1998.
