Steven Engel

Steven Engel is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in technology and management consulting. Currently serving as Vice President of People and Technology at Sustainable Development Technology Canada since July 2021, Engel plays a critical role in advancing clean technology solutions to address environmental challenges. As Chair of the Board of Directors at Group Medical Services since May 2017, Engel oversees the provision of health insurance across Canada. Previous roles include Senior Vice President of Information Technology at Greystone Managed Investments Inc., Director of Strategic Technology Consulting at ISM Canada, and various leadership positions at HP Enterprise Services, EDS, and KPMG Peat Marwick. Engel holds an MBA in Strategy from Queen's University and a B.Admn in Finance and Accounting from the University of Regina.
