Michael Abbott has worked in various positions in the energy and environmental consultancy sector. Michael co-founded Farmgen Limited in 2009 and served as the Co-founder until 2017. During this time, they focused on developing and managing Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plants. In 2010, Abbott joined EnServe Group Limited as the Managing Director of the Energy Division, where they led a growth plan to establish Inenco as the leading energy and environmental advisory business in the UK. Abbott also held senior positions at Inenco Group Ltd, where they were the Managing Director from 1990 to 2010. Michael has experience in marketing, strategic development, and M&A. Additionally, Abbott worked as a Utility Cost Analyst at McKinnon & Clarke, providing energy/utility consultancy advisory services to blue-chip clients. Most recently, Abbott served as the Chief Executive Officer of Business Power and Gas Ltd and Sustainable Energy First, leading both companies in providing sustainable energy solutions to clients.
Michael Abbott attended the University of Central Lancashire from 1984 to 1987, where they earned a BSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. In 1997, they briefly studied Planned Accelerated Company Expansion (PACE) at Alliance Manchester Business School. Michael also completed the Senior Management Development Program at Henley Business School, although the specific dates of their enrollment are not provided.
