Sustainable Seattle (S2)
Oona Kilcommons is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in technical and production roles within the performing arts and hospitality industries. As the Founder of Mayhem Manager since May 2021, Oona has led innovative projects while simultaneously serving as Technical Lead at On the Boards and Producer at Sustainable Seattle. Previous experience includes Technical Director at Studio Current and cooking at Joe Bar, where Oona contributed to a long-standing community cafe. Notable earlier roles include Lighting Technician for Caravan Stage Company's Nomadic Tempest tour and Councilor at Journey Camp, highlighting a commitment to community and personal growth. Oona's foundational education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Drama from Bennington College, completed in 2016.

S2’s Indicators for a Sustainable Community was emulated as a model of sustainability assessment by over ninety cities worldwide and garnered an award from the United Nations. S2 also runs community programs that include demonstration sites, educational programs, partnerships, and an accelerator for community-led sustainability initiatives. Mission: Sustainable Seattle works to build a thriving future through initiatives that deliver environmental, economic and community benefits, promote equity, and build resilience. Vision: A thriving, regenerative, sustainable Seattle which centers reciprocity, liberation, and restored abundance. Definition of Sustainability: The ancient and enduring practice of creating richness in natural resources, attuning to nature’s environmental indicators, and providing equitable access to health, food, shelter, and economic wealth for all people. S2 wishes to acknowledge that its efforts take place on the traditional homelands of the Coast Salish peoples, including the unceded territory of the Duwamish Peoples. S2 is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization; all donations are tax-deductible.
