Axel Pierron has extensive work experience in the financial sector. Axel is currently the Director of Client Relations at Sustainalytics since September 2020. Prior to that, they were the Founder and Managing Director of Opimas, LLC, a management consultancy focusing on capital markets, from September 2015 to July 2020. Before Opimas, they founded Bedade in 2014. Axel also worked at Celent as an Analyst from 2001 to 2007 and held various roles at Celent (an Oliver Wyman Company) from 2007 to 2014, including SVP Global Securities and Investment Practice and Senior Vice President, Head of Europe. Axel started their career as an Analyst at BNP Paribas in 2000, where they evaluated the impact of internet technologies on corporate clients and explored the potential use of new technologies within the company.

Axel Pierron completed their education from 1993 to 1999. Axel started their education at Lycee La Versoie in 1993 and received a Bac C in Maths and Physics in 1994. From 1994 to 1996, they attended Prepa HEC, a preparatory school to enter business school, where they studied Maths, Economics, English, German, and Philosophy. Finally, from 1996 to 1999, they studied at SKEMA Business School and obtained a Master's degree in Capital Market.
