Marcela Vilcan has a strong background in finance and accounting, with extensive experience spanning over 16 years. Marcela started their career as a Senior Accountant at DURA AUTOMOTIVE SYSTEMS in October 2005, where they were responsible for transactional accounting and finance functions. Marcela later transitioned into the role of Accounting Manager, where they led the implementation and control of policies, practices, and procedures. Some of their notable achievements include implementing US GAAP Hyperion reporting, coordinating statutory financial audits, and providing support during DURA's emergence from Chapter 11 in 2008. In 2014, Marcela joined Morningstar Sustainalytics as an Accounting Controller, overseeing the financial reporting and controls. Marcela was subsequently promoted to Director, Accounting, Tax, and Budget, where they played a crucial role in managing the company's financial operations. Currently, Marcela serves as the Executive Director of the Finance Regional Shared Service Center at Morningstar Sustainalytics.

Marcela Vilcan obtained a Master's degree in Relații și afaceri internaționale from West University of Timisoara between 2002 and 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Administrarea afacerilor, also specializing in Relații și afaceri internaționale, from the same university between 1998 and 2002. In addition, Marcela has obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including Developing Leadership Presence, Artificial Intelligence and Business Strategy: Case Studies, Communicating with Confidence, Problem Solving Techniques, Proven Tips for Managing Your Time, Psychological Safety: Clear Blocks to Innovation, Collaboration, and Risk-Taking, and Tips for Writing Business Emails.
