James Hayward is a seasoned software product manager and developer currently engaged at Sustainer, focusing on the development of custom Building Information Modeling (BIM) solutions for low carbon modular building systems. James has previously held research positions at Roso co-op and the Institute for Computational Design and Construction (ICD), where involvement included robotics workshops and structural testing for innovative fiber composite structures. James gained practical experience as an intern with renowned firms such as Shigeru Ban Architects and Kengo Kuma & Associates, contributing to construction, competition proposals, and architectural design processes. James's architectural background is supported by a Master of Science in Integrated Technologies and Architectural Design Research from the University of Stuttgart and a Master of Architecture from the University of Tokyo, complemented by a Bachelor of Architecture from RMIT University.
