Heather Piernick

Heather Piernick has a diverse work experience in various roles. Heather is currently the Director of People & Culture at Sustainment, where they are responsible for talent acquisition, talent development, employee relations, legal and HR compliance, benefits administration, and compensation. Prior to this, they worked at Rulesware as a Talent Management Business Partner, leading a team of L&D specialists to attract, develop, motivate, and retain talent across different locations. Heather also worked as a Technical Recruiter at Rulesware, identifying and placing technology professionals. Before that, they worked as a Senior Technology Recruiter at Octagon Technology Staffing, where they recruited technology staff for permanent placements. Their earlier experience includes working at Coach as an Assistant Manager, overseeing business operations, employee management, and strategy implementation.

Heather Piernick completed their education from 2008 to 2012 at The University of Kansas, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Their field of study included Political Science and Government as well as Pre-Law. In addition to their degree, Heather obtained a certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from HRCI in January 2022.
