Nathan Sermonis

Nathan Sermonis is an experienced professional with over a decade in the international energy sector. Currently serving as the Head of Mini-Grid Business and Asset Finance at SustainSolar, Nathan is instrumental in developing innovative finance and partnership models for off-grid power solutions. As Co-founder and CEO of Vittoria Technology, Nathan leads strategic initiatives for energy projects backed by significant grants and accolades. Additionally, Nathan presides over Vittoria Energy Expedition, a nonprofit focused on renewable energy exploration. Engagement as a Research Masters candidate at the University of Cape Town involves technical research on adaptable PV minigrids across sub-Saharan Africa. Nathan's prior experience includes a leadership role as Executive Director at Partnership for a Secure America, various positions in the U.S. House of Representatives, and contributions to forest service and biodegradation research. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from Cornell University and is completing an MPhil in Energy Studies at the University of Cape Town, expected in 2022.
